| HP Pavillion zv6000 boot problem
Help! My HP Pavillion zv6000 laptop, with Windows XP Service Pack 3, has recently encountered some bootup problems. I think this is because I downloaded a virus of some kind (dfx9keygen.exe) and ran it. Stupidly.
So now, whenever I start up my computer, it goes to the HP screen, but right afterwards, it gets about two frames into the windows xp boot screen before I get a flicker of the bsod screen, and it directs me right back to startup options.
None of these options work, not even the safe modes.
I hear that I should probably use my recovery disk, but truthfully, I don't understand how to go about doing it.
Do I need a floppy?
If there's any simple solution to virus induced boot error, please help direct me towards it! |
