Hp Recovery is no Response

hi all, this is my 1st post here in this wonderfull forum

now i installed vista ultimate in my laptop and now when i tried to make a recovery to my default hp windows vista home premium by pressing F11 there is no response i don't know why !! and what happend to F11? and how can i restore my original windows by hp recovery?

note: when i installed ultimate i updated bios can it be a problem?

Look in Start->Run and type: Diskmgmt.msc

to see if you wiped out the recovery partition.

when mismanagement opens you will see what hard drives
including optical drives are install or attach to your computer [ external ]

if you look at " C " drive if it has the recovery partition on it ,it
should show two partitions ,the smaller one should be recovery files

There are 3 partitions C , D and E (Recovery), when i marke E partition (Recovery) as active then i can't login to windows again cuz windows in C partition.

so what can i do to make F11 load The Recovery?
