The latest Rev G BIOS version from Arima is not updating the ACPI BIOS functions enough, that Windows 7 or Vista is booting without the "ACPI bluescreen".

I don't know, if you updating your Rev D board with a Rev G BIOS, it is possible, that your board is running anymore.

Does anyone know, what are the differences between the ACPI BIOS standards? What is Windows missing?

    Greetings
    SBB

I did some more searching and found a bios modder who has created some modified BIOSes for the HDAMA-I, HDAMA Rev G, and the HDAMB boards that fix the ACPI issues.
Arima HDAMA and HDAMB Motherboard BIOS Fixes Still on the fence as to whether or not to try a rev G update to my rev D board.

    Bios 218B with ACPI fix

Hi...Just reading your thread about this issue with the Rev D boards. I came acceoss 2 of these boards and have successfully installed Server 2008R2 using both of them in a test install that I put together. The revised Bios packages from that really helpful person on the MDL forum was what I used and all worked fine, no problems. Only thing that didn't work was the Powernow low voltage states for the Opterons, and that is because of the inferior VRM's on the Rev D boards compared to the Rev G ones. Other than that, 2008R2 runs just fine and very stable. No problems yet.
    Cheers.
