    Video Card

     
    Recently my video card: Msi N9800 GT stop displaying correctly. It has been running fine up till this point. Is there a way to tell whats wrong with it?

    It didn't display the colors correctly, shows dots, texts looks blurred, patches of color. Hope this helps.

    Sounds like its artifacting. I would give it a good clean and check the temps of the card.

    Well to clean out the dust use a can of compressed air. To monitor temps EVGA precision. EVGA Precision 1.7.1 download from Guru3D.com

    I can't get it to load windows or the screen is so bad I can't tell it's on windows.

    Let's try a couple of the usual suspects:

    Have you made sure the card is properly seated in its motherboard expansion slot?

    Next, have you verified the six-pin cable from the power supply is properly connected to the video card?

    Otherwise, if you have not changed any BIOS settings and the card is not overheating (you cleaned it, right?), you could have a failed memory chip on the video card. If it is a component failure on the card, your card probably has a three-year warranty if purchased via retail, meaning you might be able to RMA it to MSI for a replacement.
