Dell E521 Dual Monitors go Blank after 15 Minutes

Good morning. I have a Dell E521. I recently put an Nvidia 8400GS in it to run two monitors. Since then every 10-15 minutes the monitors go blank. The CPU is still running but I get nothing on the monitors. I restart and it works again for about 10 min. Any ideas? All my power options are set to not turn things off. Could it be a power supply issue? Thanks in advance.

So they don't just go blank, you mean the system freezes up/crashes after 15 minutes requiring a restart correct? Have you tried updating to the latest nVidia drivers, not just the ones included on the install CD?

In addition to upgrading graphics drivers, also be sure to install the nVidia nForce 430 motherboard chipset drivers for your system. Depending upon your operating system:

nForce 430/410 - Windows XP/200

nForce 430/410/405/400 - 32-bit

nForce 430/410/405/400 - 64-Bit

Otherwise, it could very well be a power supply issue. Do you have another PSU to test?
