Ntldr is compressed

I caught a virus yesterday that literally crashed my computer ( never had that happen) anyway at first I couldn't download anything anti-virus programs because the virus would block it. Then finally when I did manage to get a program to get rid of the spyware, I could not log back into my computer. I tried to boot in safe mode and it did the same thing. I found out my "userinit " was deleted. It would log me in after I typed in the password then log back out instantly.

I didn't have a disk so I had to borrow one from a friend ( my computer came with the program windows xp home edition installed I have the certificate of authenticity label.) However now I am getting a message that says "Ntldr is compressed and press ctrl alt delete to restart". Every time I do it brings me back to the same menu.

SO I put the windows installation disk in and tried to restart from the disk. The first time I did it, I was offered three options, I didn't know which one to use to I picked the last one, I believe it was c:windows or something similiar. Then it asked me for the password. I hit enter. I've tried so many different command lines I am not sure which one I used. Then I hit exit to reboot my computer for some reason it started installing the windows software. After it was done it did the log on and log off thing again.

I rebooted it again and now I get the "ntldr is compress" message again. When I try to boot from the disk again I only get one option C:miniNT but nothing else.

I don't know what else to do. I can't log in the computer at all to save my files to my portable jumpdrive. I really need those files. If I could do that I would just wipe the whole system clean and put my files back on later. So any help on getting aroud this would be helpful.

No one knows how to fix this? Posting on a forum was the last thing I wanted to do but I have not seen a solution to my particular problem.

I've done the fixboot, fixmbr, expand d:\i386\ntldr._ c:\ntldr, cd d:\,attrib -c ntldr, along with various others and NOTHING has worked.

Please help
