    HIS RADEON HD3650

I JUST BOUGHT A HIS RADEON HD3650 AGP VIDEO CARD. WHEN I INSTALLED IT AND REBOOTED THE COMPUTER, THE SCREEN WAS BALCK WITH A RED WARNING THAT I DID NOT CONNECT THE POWER CABLE TO THE VIDEO CARD...SEE GETTING STARTED FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH THE CARD ONLY MENTION TO CONNECT THE POWER CABLE TO A PCIE CARD. WHAT POWER CABLE ARE THEY REFERRING TO AND HOW DO I CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?

why on earth would a 3650 need an extra power cord? Its supposed to be a budget low end card (which take up much less power than their bigger siblings). Those never take up more power than the PCIe socket can supply (75W I think) and so do not need any extra power cables. Are you sure you got the model correct?

In any case, there will be a 6 pin connector that you are supposed to connect to your card (if you need one at all). Have you got anything connected to the card at all?

    HIS RADEON HD3650 POWER CABLE

I JUST GOT OFF THE TELEPHONE WITH ATI'S TECH SUPPORT. THE TECH TOLD ME THAT THIS CARD REQUIRES EXTERNAL POWER FROM A FLOPPY DISK POWER CABLE (THE POWER CONNECTOR IS IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE CARD).
