My laptop died and when i start it up it does the TOSHIBA screen and then says INSERT SYSTEM DISC IN DRIVE.
Is there any way to restore my computer completely? My dad did it with his Dell and he just pressed Control and F11 on the startup Dell screen, but that doesnt seem to work on mine. Help would be so greatly appreciated

It sounds like your hard drive might have failed, you'll need to look in the bios settings to see if the drive is being detected.

there isn't floppy disc in the drive is there..with the floppy drive set as the 1st boot device.?
