Powerdirector DVD. Picture, but no sound

I recently bought a copy of Cyberlink's Powerdirector 7 ultra in order to make a DVD of a recent family holiday. After numerous crashes and disc writing errors after waiting hours to try to burn a disc, I finally made and completed the DVD. I put the finished disc into the DVD. The menu looked and sounded great, but I soon realised upon playing the DVD that there was no sound. I had just spent the best part of 3 days creating this DVD and I am at a loss to why no sound came out.

Cyberlink's support have yet to get back to me after several emails -something which I now realise is quite common - so I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and has a solution.

I hope someone out there can help.
