Crap, my graphics have gone to hell

Hello again everyone,

Today i was just on the computer minding my own buisness, just watching youtube when my graphics started getting screwy. I can't really remember what happened to the computer when the graphics messed up, i think the screen went black for a bit?

it came back looking like this:

So i went to device manager and uninstalled the drivers, ran driver cleaner pro in safe mod, installed new drivers. same thing.
opened my computer let the graphics card cool off, dusted it out; and nothing.

So i'm starting to wonder, is my graphics card broken? hopefully not :\

What's the specs on your system?
What GPU do you have? Which driver did you reinstall?
(nevermind, I see you have the 186.18's on your desktop, so I'm guessing those)

Anywho, specs would help.

TBH, I'm finding the CC beta a little lacking. I haven't touched it for a week or so now. And in all honesty, I'm probably gonna uninstall it this weekend. Just not my type of game.
Anywho, with it not pulling up any DirectX info, there is most definitely a problem.

You said you uninstalled and reinstalled drivers? Are you sure they installed all the way, or properly?
Was the graphics card really dusty before you cleaned it? Are you able to check temps on your GPU?
Did you install any new software/hardware before this started happening?

I think i will uninstall CC today, i also find it very lacking. I will keep my hopes up for APB though.

It was a bit dusty, but not alot. Im not sure how to check the temps, and no i haven't.

Just to be safe, have you run a virus/malware/spyware scan? That's something else to rule out.

the monitor says my HDD is 154 F.

In all honesty, I don't what the temps should be in F. I always use C. lol
What does it say your GPU temp is?

But I'm really thinking your HDD is not the problem.
Still if your pulling up no directx dialog, that means the GPU isn't working, or the drivers aren't installed properly.
For a scan I use Malware Bytes and AVG

its not problem, was playing some coldplay songs on the guitar while i waited

Well my GPU is not showing up in the monitor :\
and also i tried installing AVG but it wouldn't let me cause my computer was in safe mode.
So i restart to start it normally and when it gets past the Window Vista loading bar the screen stays black.

So i can't access my computer without safe mode, and GPU isnt showing up in my monitor. This is going to be fun
