Hi
I would personally switch out the motherboard for a gigabyte P45 motherboard. You won't use the max II for all the features it has most likely.
Also, make sure you get a GTX 260 Core 216 model. If it doesn't say the "core 216" then it's the slower older version of the card.
If you get the gigabyte P45 board, pick up some DDR2-1066 RAM.
For hard drives look into western digitials 640Gb HDD's. They are fast, have lots of storage, and really don't cost that much.
For a DVD drive just make sure it's "sata" and not an "ide" model.

That's pretty much it.
Where are you ordering parts from?

Why? There is almost no performance difference. Course IDE you have to move a little jumper around and you have the cable to contend with. Even then I don't think there is much of a price difference between the two.

Honestly you could go even cheaper and get the dual core version of the phenom II which is cheaper than the triple core and runs at a higher operating frequency (3.1GHz). Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

If your stuck on intel the 7400 is ruffly the same price ($5 difference)Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops. Either way the price is still pretty good and give you plenty of the budget left to pick and choose a video card and case.
