Not enough RAM...

Hey,

I'm trying to install some software I downloaded but the InstallShield installer says I don't have enough RAM to install the software (It needs 1GB and I have 512MB) and exits. Is there some way to fool the installer into thinking I have more RAM? It's not a virtual memory thing, I have 4GB of virtual memory setup. The installer detects the amount of physical memory installed...

Also, I can't install more RAM, It's an old machine which uses RDRAM and there are no more slots left. New RDRAM costs too much...

Maybe there's some way to sandbox the installer and show fake RAM amounts? or a way to edit/modify the installer executable?

I'm using 32bit Windows XP.

Thanks,

magogo.

Only thing I can say is get a new computer. Cause you'd be playing with the BIOS to do that.

Chances are if it needs that much, and your computers old you can't run it anyways.
