    laptop monitor dim

     
    Hello,

    I had my emachine laptop booted up and was having trouble. I hit the F8 key a couple of times and now my monitor is very dim. How can I get it to reset to the default setting?

    Since it is so new no danger of messing up other changes you may have made.

    Turn the machine off. Wait carefullu as it reboots to catch which function key is for setup ( probably F2 or F10 ) Cursor across the top with the arrow keys until you get to power management or graphics ( it's really evident )

    Go into screen brightness and follow the on screen options for RESET. that will fix you up.
