NTLDR is compressed help?

Well I turned on my computer and it said NTLDR is compressed, I looked it up and found out that other people had the same problem and they got it fixed by using the Windows CD or something like that. I don't have the CD but I found the place where I can download it. But I'm wondering is there any way I can fix my computer without wiping the files?

you will need the windows cd to access the recovery console, you can repair the NTDLR in the command prompt type "bootrec.exe/fixmbr" without quotes or "bootrec.exe/fixboot" again without quotes
