cannot format system

i want to format my system,, even i hav bootable cd but after i select new installation, it shows
""insert cd named windows xp proffesional sp2 and press enter""

even after pressing enter

the screen remains the same and installation does not proceeds

are you sure it is not a 2 disc installation and it is asking for disc 2

I know you said bootable CD, but did you actually boot from the CD?

Is the CD dirty?
