Sounds like maybe you have a cd in your cd drive that needs to come out so your pc will bootup."Common Sense is a flower that doesn't grow in everyone's garden."

Welcome to TechIMO.
There are three possibilities, but you haven't provided enough information to know:
1. Your hard drive has failed and the system is trying to boot from the only other device available, your CD drive.
2. You have the BIOS set to boot only from the CD drive and there is no media in the drive.
3. You are trying to run PC Restore, the restore partition is missing from your hard drive, and the utility is trying to access the restore partition on the CD.

Helen Rae - It may have been a bad Windows update. Try a system recovery."The passion for setting people right is in itself an afflictive disease." Marianne Moore, American poet (1887-1972)
