reapplying thermal paste

Hello everyone. I just order all the parts for a new computer. Now the processor comes with it's standard thermal paste. But after reading up I ordered some Arctic Silver 5 to cool better. Here is my delema:

All the computer parts will be arriving today and the AS5 won't be here until Monday. Is it a bad idea to assemble the computer now and then just remove the old thermal paste and apply the AS5 on Monday? I don't want to have to wait through the whole weekend with everything just sittng there! LOL

go for it thats what I would do, although I would just check the temps, if your not going to be overclocking I would just leave it as it is, (if the temps are normal)

Thanks! Sweet! I do plan on overclocking (it'll be my first time ). It will be interesting to see the temp differences with the diff pastes.
