Diablo II: Lord of Destruction LAN setup

I've been looking for quite sometime on how I can LAN at my house.

I have 2 computers, one with Diablo, and the other one with nothing, if I get Diablo II: LOD on both computers;

how can i set it up so my brother and I can play LAN with our single player characters?
I know that I can create a game, but we have the same IP since we're using the same internet provider, so I don't think it's possible for 2 people to connect to a server with the same IP.

Thanks a lot ( :

You cant use your single player characters, you will have to start all over on the LAN. Are you guys using a router to connect to the internet?

Yes, we're using a router.

you can use single player characters if you're playing closed battle net.

My friend did it, I just don't talk to him anymore so i have no way of asking, we made single player characters, and we leveled together in a TC/IP or whatever game.

I just would like to know if I create a game on my computer, how he can connect, we have the same IP's, I don't think it'll let us.
