Are there any known issues w/ using video extender cables on a Dell LCD (24", #S2409W)?
I have tried 3 cables, and the video image remains vertically compressed (~ 25% though it's still readable). No monitor setting adjustments work. The problem disappears when the extender cable is removed.
I'm thinking signal leakage/loss thru the extra cable length, but I don't understand why. Extender cables have been around since Day 1. The Dell Tech site says 'that they don't recommend video extender cables', but they don't say why.
Any thoughts/comments would be helpful.
Thanks.
