Access Violation / .Dll file errors within WoW/Aion

Don't really recall getting wow errors but I've been getting a few recently. Bene experienceing them in aion as well since release with the cryengine.dll file and the nvd3m or whatever. Always reporting an access violation in both cases.

I just reformated, did windows updates, Have vista sp2, .net updates, updated soundcard drivers as well as 190.62 nvidea drivers, tryed the newer 191 drivers but it makes my desktop flash for a few seconds when booting so I just reverted back to 190.62. did pretty much everything to set up windows to run optimal for gaming. The only thing I've done in the registry is TcpAckFrequency and NoDelay edits to get better latency within games. Other then Wow, aion, or other games like need for speed undercover etc getting access violations or appcrash the rest of my OS and programs seem to run fine and stable. I've had maybe 2-3 random bsod's usually when running games at the time but its not generally a problem.

Those prolly had to do with trying to Oc my processor to 4ghz instead of 3.8ghz from stock 3ghz.

    I've got a Gtx 275 graphics card, E8400 oc'd to 3.8ghz processor 4gb of what I think is 800mhz ram 7200 rpm hard drive.

Tryed using uniblue registry fix, as well as scanning my memory with memorytest86, both of which didnt fix or detect problems. I don't think uniblue is as through as other programs though, and the memory test i ran from boot cd but not sure if it was done correctly it took about a half hour or so.

I don't think it's the registry, OS files, programs or anything causing this, I feel it's probably bad ram, or maybe my processor. Think i tryed to go back to stock clock and it still crashed within games. I did one time try to set the requency of the ram to 800 or something within a program that came with my graphics card cant remember what its called maybe that's when everything started to crash with errors. I do recall using regcure though a cracked version before starting up need for speed to get it to work, sometimes it would crash so frequently id have to do that to get it to load.
from looking at the temperatures I don't think anything overheats but since it happens in multiple full screen game applications I think its got to be a problem with something that's getting stressed, my ram id guess.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight on this, programs I could download to stress test throughly to see if it is a hardware error?

No one got any ideas about access violation and what the cause of mine may be or more specifically how to or what will fix it? I can download a clipboard error post tool thing whatever its called "hijack this" I think I used before and post some general erros I'm having if that helps

Might have figured this out. I think it's the bios/chipset drivers. I have an asus p5q motherboard. updated my video, sound, keyboard and mouse drivers but used the drivers from my motherboard stock cd and never updated.

    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

    Notice Version 1501 and 1406

    2. Enhance the compatibility with kingston KVR800D2N6/2G DDR2 800MHz 2G memory.

    2. Enhance the compatibility of certain memory.

Not sure if by enhance they mean make run stable instead of just simply being able to run. I'm not going to lie I don't know shit about bios/chipset/sata drivers and how important they are but this very likely to me seems what could be the cause of all my crashes within games that put the cpu and ram to strenous usage until I eventually hit an error and the game craps out. I've oc'd my processor via bios and looked at all the other settings like disabling my realtek onboard sound etc, and I think I briefly read over the Flash bios option so I think that's what I'm going to try.

I'm assuming I just put the driver or bios data onto a flash drive or cd etc and then load it from within my bios. Going to look into it right now. Anyone know anything about updating bios and if this really could be the answer to my problems?

Just a side note, I think after I had this comp setup for free because of the price, and they updated all the drivers for me it worked fine, But after I got my graphics card and reformatted was when I think I started experiencing wow errors, access violations, and appcrashes within games.

Just want to apologize for being so stupid, my text is a waste of espace but I've been eager as @%@% to figure this out and I don't want to waste any more time than I have to. All a good learning experience nonetheless, the only things I haven't really worked with in terms of hardware is bios/chipset, and installing a processor which looks easy enough. Thanks again for any input.

Oh and right, forgot to say that I have 2x 2gb 800mhz sticks of kingston ram, rofl

Guess I will eventually try using different ram slots, or each seperate ram stick, as well as my old 8800 gt graphics card. Should be able to process of elimination this.
