    Angry WinRar.Please,answer a.s.a.p.

As soon as I installed WinRar it scanned my HD and compressed all files it came across, except the Windows Files.Even the shortcuts on my desktop were compressed. When I tried to extract the files they went all together to different folders. There was a mix up of files that I had to have my hard disk
formatted.I hate the program.I paid for it but I won't use it ever.

Uh... you must have clicked something wrong, or installed a bugged/hacked copy of this program... Where did you download it from?

I've been using winRAR for years and I've never even heard of this problem.

As said above, you had to of done something on your end to screw it up and do that.

as the other member said, I've also been using it for years and have never had that problem or even anything close to it.

WinRAR, WinZip, WinACE, all of these programs I have used for 15+ years and never come across a problem like this ever.

just about any scanning WinRAR will do is scan for existing compressed files that it can open, as in from a fresh Windows Install, if you have any RAR or ZIP files saved on a hard drive somewhere, that normally can't be opened from a fresh install of windows. after installing WinRAR it will scan the system for any associated files and associate with them, so you can from that point on open or extract the files with WinRAR.

but as to adding all your systems files and shortcuts to an archive, that you had to of done on your end yourself somehow.

unless as was pointed out above that it could of been a hacked or bugged version you downloaded or paid for.

did you buy it directly from the WinRAR website? or some where else? WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

Lucky, I think not, like both of us said, we have been using it for years, and never had a problem, which leads us to believe that we were using it properly.

since this is a legit copy of it, the only other reason why this would of happened was from user error. and not the programs fault.

you probably clicked a wrong button or option upon or shortly after install of it that did this.
