Thread: nothing is happening

nothing is happening
I can turn on my computer and it starts up and shows my desktop background and desktop icons and the mouse cursor moves, but i cannot click on any of the icons and the clock doesn't move either.

Hi and welcome to TechIMO.
For starters can you help us by providing a little more information. Type of PC, operating system details ect ect.
Has the system every worked, did it just start or is it a new build that just never worked?
What happens if you hit the windows key? how about ctrl+alt+del?
Have you tried booting to safe mode?
Ran any virus software?
Try to keep in mind we are not sitting in front of your computer, nor do we know anything about it. So the more information you can provide the first time around the more someone will be able to help down the road.
