I just installed XP and installed all the drivers necessary. 4.40 4-in-1's, AC'97 drivers, and Det 29.42 drivers for my vid card. I cant think of anything else that Im missing.
It restarts after about 30 minutes. wut could be the problem? the RAM? wut program can I download that will test my DDR ram? thnx...

D/L it.. open up the zip file, and you'll see the option to create Floppy disk.. put in a floppy, let it write to it.. it will tell you when it's done.. restart your computer with floppy in, and it won't boot to windows. It will boot to the test. Click on Burn Test.. and it will run, till you stop it. |

When you say it restarts...you mean the computer just restarts on its own? Or do you experience any problems ahead of time? Lockups/crashes?
If it restarts after about 30 minutes consecutively...I'm thinking a heat problem. That your system is over heating. It is summer time after all...

yes, I fixed it. It turned out the OCZ ram was bad. so I got some Crucial ram which seems to be working just fine now.
do u guys know of any other brand that is as godo as crucial, but is rated at CAS 2.0? thnx... |

memtest is also a good utility-and logs the errors. You're peeing away your money going after cas2-your gain in performance is negligible.
