    Amd gpu problem?

    Hello!

I just bought an HP Pavilion dv6 a couple of days ago and I think the gpu might be faulty (or something like that).
It has an amd 3410mx APU and an amd 6755g2 (6520g + 6750m) gpu.

When I run GPU-Z I see the 6520 and it sees the 6750 as ""AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series".

The problem is, it tells me the 6750m is not working at all.
Here is a pic with the gpu-z window.

I've tried disabling and enabling the crossfire thing.
I've tried putting the program run on "High Performance" and on "Power saving" using the AMD Vision engine control center and it still fails to recognise the card...
I have also tried updating the drivers and still nothing.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I'm new to this forum and this seemed like the best place for it.

these setups are designed to run the more powerful GPU when 3D demand is higher, and the lesser one for everything else. When you play a 3D demanding game for example, the higher one should kick in and take over. Unless you have crossfire enabled, then they both will.

But for more mundane tasks the lesser GPU is the one that will be running usually.

Not sure where in the AMD Catalyst Control Panel, but there should be an option somewhere to designate the types of tasks and programs to run on the 6700, the 6500 or both.

As I said in the first post, I already tried disabling/enabling Crossfire and changing what gpu to use on the gpu-z program, sadly with no results...

I would be happy if this is a problem with the gpu because I can give it back to the shop and get a better laptop from a different shop

I got the same problems: Same GPUs as you, but a A-6-3400M APU.
I know it's been a while, but I'ld like to know if you fixed it.

I just sent an e-mail to AMD, and I'm waiting a response.
