Gmail

When I open Gmail I have a message in a yellow bar "Some important features may not work in this version of your browser, so you have been redirected to the Basic HTML version. Upgrade to a modern browser, such as Google Chrome". I did install it and nothing changed.

How can I get rid of it.

Is your gmail account set to use basic HTML? There's usually a link available to set it to that. Maybe you can change it back to advanced?

What browser are you using? It is the latest version? Do you have javascript enabled in the web browser? Something like noscript in Firefox will block javascript which will force gmail into basic mode.

I use Internet Explorer 8 and Google and Javascript is enable.

I'm not doubting you but for 100% certainty you are using IE8? According to Google's support pages, IE8 should work without issues. IE7 and before will only work with the Basic interface, not the fancy one.

Google support had a suggestion to verify that compatibility mode is not enabled for IE8, otherwise it will open the web page using an older version of the web page rendering engine which could result in this error.

You are right SeanC, I was so sure I had IE8, but I had IE7, I upgraded to 8 and everything works well. Sorry about that and thank you very much for your help.
