| bought a wrong graphic card help!
need help i bought the wrong grahic card and now i need to buy one that works here the one i currently have
nvidia geforce 4 mx 440 with agp8x

so is that one the one you had, or the wrong one you bought?
With out any more info on your PC's specs, size of your case, power supply specs, etc, no one can really suggest anything to replace the old one yet.

Even a Radeon 3650 or 3850 In AGP 8x Flavor would be a suitable Upgrade. if you can find one of those.
If you stumble upon a Radeon 4670 in AGP, THAT is the card I'd get, its similar to the 3850 in performance, and runs at lower power from what I remember, plus should be a shorter length card.
and the 4670 was the LAST AGP card made for AGP Slots, after that, no more AGP gaming cards were made. Nvidia Stopped AGP cards with the Geforce 8 series that predated the 4670 by 2 generations already.
