RAM choices/opinions

Is Infineon a good, reliable RAM/memory brand like Kingston, Azten and Crucial? I'm asking this because I think the Infineon RAM I bought for my newly built P4 is causing it to be unstable.

I'm looking for opinions.

Infineon is definitely NOT "cheap RAM"...it's one of the best brands available. Infineon used to be in partnership with Siemens ("Siemens/Infineon") but since have gone off on their own, IIRC.

Anyway, I doubt your Infineon is causing any problem because it's "cheap."

I can't tell you anything about the P4 because I have a AMD T-Bird myself. Also, I'm not a gamer so can't help you there.

Is there any pattern to the instability? You know, like crashing about 5 minutes into use, crashing upon inserting a CD?

have you checked your bios settings? is something overclocked? is something overheating?

do you have a via chipset? if so have you installed the 4-in-1 drivers? what version of windows? have you flashed your bios at all? when did it start?
