Navigation System update
I had the navigation system on my CLS 500 upgraded at my local M.Benz garage, I dropped off the car and when I picked it up and turned on the radio on the screen went blank and the Radio, CD player and Navigation system died. M.B. are quoting me $4700:00 for a new system! When I took in the car the radio and navigation system were working , I have never had any problem's with it , has anyone else experienced this ?

Take it back to the local M.Benz garage that upgraded it and tell them to fix it since it was working when you gave it to them.

It is probably something simple - unplugged whatever or something. What kind of work was being done? Because I'd start looking where they were working and look for a pulled or damaged wire or something.
Did it "turn on and die", or was it just "dead"?
Don't take a brush off as an answer. Talk to the owner/manager/boss. Be firm and keep it simple. "It was working when I came in here because I was listening to the radio, and now it is not. Will you check it out please?"
If all else fails, you may have to take them to small claims court, but don't threaten them with anything. In fact, don't bring it up. Just know that if they don't fix it that's your last resort.
