computer turns on for a second and then turns back off
So I've had quite a few problems with my laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite L755 and I've only had it since last August. A few months back, my keys started messing up to where a few rows wouldn't work what so ever. They would then randomly start working again, but sometimes if you pressed the J it would write a K. A few days later, even though I would have my charger in at all times, it would say it wasn't charging. I didn't notice this and walked around with the computer while it was running off of it's battery and then I'd plug it back in when I saw it was getting low on energy. As soon as I plugged it back in it would say it was charging from the light on the side of the computer, but on the screen where it shows how much life it has it would say that it was plugged in but not charging. This is where it gets weird though, I took it to see a friend of mine to see if he knew what was going on, but as soon as I plugged it in to an outlet at his house it would start to charge and the keys would work just fine. I figured it was fine and took it back home and it was doing nice but then again, randomly, it would mess up and do the same thing again. I didn't want to deal with it so I just put it on a desk and left it there constantly.
Okay, now up until about a week ago it was doing the same old stuff, not charging and the keys would sometimes work. One day while I was asleep, my family got on my computer to check their emails. My mom said that my computer was going extremely slow which is odd because the internet connection was great and my computer runs fairly fast. I didn't go on it the rest of the day but as soon as I went to turn on my computer the next day it would start to make the turning on sound and about 5 seconds later it would just shut back down. I tried taking the battery out and turning it on without it while it was plugged in but it would just do the same thing.
This is going to sound crazy, but today I was trying to get it to work again and I was just getting really frustrated so i was just pressing tons of buttons on it and it actually started to turn on. I got excited so i stopped pressing buttons and it shut off a few seconds later. I kept turning it on and would press random buttons and I actually got it to come up to my desktop and go online but as soon as I stopped pressing buttons it turned off again.
So to make things short, my computer would turn on as long as I pressed keys constantly. Does that make any sense at all? To be honest, I really have no clue about how computers work so I'm just really stumped on this. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any ideas on what could possibly be going on. Sorry if this was really long, I just figured it would be best if I went through all of the problems because they are most likely connected. Thanks!

Well if it's not working at all. then i recommend reinstalling your OS and before plugging in the internet, install a good antivirus, avira or avg as free antivirus choices.. or go for kaspersky, its a bit costly but effective,if it is working a bit, put a good antivirus and scan it throughly & defrag your hdd after the scan.
i usually do that twice a month.
hope this helps.

So that doesn't really sound like a virus. It's a possibility, but given the escalation of the trouble, especially the power related, I'm inclined to think it's a hardware problem. If you've had the thing for less than a year it should still be under some kind of warranty, I'd get on the line with Toshiba right away. Because if it is a hardware issue, you definitely want to address it before the warranty runs out.
