Acer 5560g screen not responsive! HELP please!

My dad purchased a second hand Laptop. A Acer 5560G. When he purchased it, it was perfectly fine. Run perfect.

Few weeks/months down the track it doesn't work.

I mean, it turns on and stuff but the screen doesn't have a response. The power lights and ect. do just not the screen. We tried plugging it into a monitor via VGA to see if that worked. but it didn't.

Any Idea's?
