wifi card
i have a intel pro100v wifi card it will not work in my thinkpad r-40

Hi, welcome to TIMO!
Can you please give the exact specs on the laptop and on the wi-fi card? Is that a PCI card like it sounds like? Like which card it is exactly?
Are you sure your card is wireless? I believe the "VE" line is.
We need to also ensure it's the right card for that laptop.
Plus you should probably check out the drivers for the card on Intel's website. Maybe with more information we all can help you locate the right drivers. Or in the case of it being something else (a conflict, DHCP problems), point you in the right direction.
