never heard of Silverpower for a Power supply, sounds like a cheapo brand name.
I know of SILVERSTONE, but not the other name.
Make sure all your Power connectors are plugged in.
20+4 Pin Main ATX, 4+4 Pin or 8 Pin EPS/ATX 12V supplementary connector.
if there is a switch on the back of the PSU make sure that it is switched to the appropriate voltage for your region.
Make sure there are no Motherboard standoffs touching the back of the mobo shorting things out.
Take the board out and test it powering on, on a non conductive surface.
Try testing with minimal hardware configs, starting with one stick of RAM, and test each stick.
make sure the RAM is installed in the right slots.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

That click sound could be the power supplies circuit breaker, doing what it is supposed to.
This would tie in with Shyguys shorting, check and test.
If that is the brand of power supply, you have have a big unknown in your testing.Hard Sayin Not Knowin
