please do not create multiple threads.
For starters you aren't giving much information here and what you have given is a bit confusing. Perhaps members could help if you gave them more to go on.

Hey Richard,
Maybe you can screen shot what you're having a problem with and we can take it from there? Tap print screen, control+v to mspaint and attach the image to the thread.
What I think you mean (and let me know if I understand you correctly), you have a DVD drive but it isn't showing up in My Computer? Did you check the device manager to see if there's a warning indicator by the icon for it?
When you say it won't let you type, I don't understand what you mean.“Arguing with anonymous strangers on the Internet is a sucker's game because they almost always turn out to be—or to be indistinguishable from—self-righteous sixteen-year-olds possessing infinite amounts of free time.” ― Cryptonomicon

I think he's talking about trying to put in the Drives Details or Model or something, into one of the boxes in its Properties that normally would show the drives Details and info.

If this happened after inserting a faulty cd\dvd then letting it struggle for a long time , the , then a shut down and restart can solve the problem providing that you eject the faulty cd\dvd ...
In the worst case , it could be a faulty DVD need to be replaced ..

Um he stabbed an agent twice and has experience training in mixed martial arts and as your pointed out has already had issues with aggression. I don't think the FBI agents have much of an option...
