A problem with GTX 560 ti! Please help!

    Hello everyone,
So, I bought a GTX 560 ti from EVGA 6 months ago, it was working really well until taday. I was playing nfs pro street when suddenly my pc shutdown. I tried many things and I found out it was the gpu which was causing trouble. I removed it from my system and my pc worked fine......but as soon as I plugged 560 ti in it it would not want to start...the whole system. The question is, when I removed the 2x6pin connectors the card started as well as the system, obviously there was no display. I don't understand the problem with gpu (GTX 560ti), now I am using my old 9500GT and everything is working as it should. So I want to ask, why is my gpu not working? Does it short circuits when I plug the connectors, or what? And I have a 700 watt PSU. Sorry for the long post. Your replies will be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    My PC specs:

    Processor: Intel Core i5 3570k
    Memory: G.Skill 8GB RAM
    PSU: Xilence 700 watt ( model: XP700)
    Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
    GPU: EVGA GTX 560 Ti
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

have you tried testing the system with another power supply, a good quality PSU?

Your systems specs as listed really only needs a 500W range unit, so if you have something or someone you know has a good quality 450-500W Range PSU, you should be able to use it to test with.

with what you listed as symptoms, it could be the video card, or it could be the power supply.

Yep, I tried it with another psu, and a whole different system of my friend, he has a 600 watt Corsair, but the same problem, the system won't start. And when I unplug the card, pc runs flawlessly.
I think the problem is with the card......its still in warranty so, I should replace it.

was this a brand new card from EVGA, or did you buy one of their Recertified Cards?

if its brand new I would probably use the Warranty on it, if its Recert, it usually only has a 90 day warranty, but I'd check with them anyways, see if they'll make an exception or something, I have heard of that happening, so maybe they will.

if you've tried in another system, and especially with a Corsair 600W, then I would say the card is probably the culprit, not sure what it could be on the card, but definitely the card could be the problem.
