Oil inside laptop screen?
So long story short I spilled a bit of oil onto my laptop screen and now it's gotten under it and there's big white patch on the bottom middle of it. Basically will it keep on spreading, will it harm the laptop and how should I go about cleaning it?
I can see through the patch so it isn't a crazy problem but I'm getting a heart attack thinking that I might break my laptop.

Welcome to TechIMO!

There is the possibility that the oil could cause a short, frying your screen or your entire laptop. The best (and probably most expensive) thing to do is take it to a repair service and have them disassemble the screen to get the oil out. You can try this yourself if you are tech savvy, but laptops are not very user friendly when it comes to repairs.Good job, friend-of-friends!

Depending on the size/make of yer lappy, a replacement screen is $50 ~ $150...
that's for the part only... I usually charge $50 to install one, but you may not
feel it's worth the money.◄ it is what it is ►
