I want a new computer, but I'm not sure what I need. I want a farely fast computer, but can't afford a lot. I'm looking for one around $500 or so. I play a lot of games online as well as e-mail and watching some videos.I also talk to friends all over world and send pics. Can you reccommend anything? Whats the point of using a forum if your just going to converse via email?

Thats why there's a private message system here, and email notifications of posts to threads your active in.


2nd, Simply stating you have an AMD Processor right now means absolutely nothing.

AMD has been making CPU's for 20-30 years, WHICH actual CPU do you have?

what is the rest of your system specs.


You mention you don't know what you need, but you listed what you do on the PC... so that right there would tell you what you need. Most of what you listed is really basic tasks, so you wouldn't need a high end or even mid range PC. (low to mid range Dual Core would be more than sufficient)


You listed you play games online... welll WHAT games?

Are they web browser based flash games, actual 3D like Web Browser games?

Are they actual regular Games with online play, like CounterStrike, Battlefield games, Starcraft, World Of WarCraft, GuildWars, etc etc etc?

basically you need to post more info on what you currently have for a PC, as well as what games you play.


Also couldn't hurt to post where you actually are from, US, UK, EU, China, Japan, Australia, etc etc?
