Internet - Web Page Won't Load

I can't go on a web page Travel, Holidays, Tours, Car rentals, Activities & more | Air Canada Vacations and all my friends have access to that web site. I have Internet Explorer 8 and I use Win XP Pro. Anyone know why I can't access that web site.

    Thank you!

There are several reasons why this might happen. Lets just try this solution first.

Open the command prompt and enter ipconfig/flushdns hit enter. Now try the site again.

I tried it and it says DNS cache emptied, then I tried it again but I still can't access the web site.

What happens/doesn't happen when you attempt to go to the site?

Well that is a bit different than not being able to go to the site. It means the site isn't rendering properly. Clear your browser cookies and cache and see if that helps. If all else fails try another browser. If you still can't get the site to open all the way then there might be something else at work.

I did clear the cookies and cache and tried with another browser, I still have the same problem. However I went on a site that was asking to download ActiveX With the bar at the top and when I click download, it just came back to my Home page which is Google. I think it might be related with Activex, I will try to download and install Activex and see if it solves the problem. I will let you know.

    Thanks

Knowing which Active X plug-in it wanted might help but if you tried another browser like Chrome or Firefox then that is not the issue. Active X plug-ins are an IE only thing.

PS - I gave your thread a bit more descriptive title, you seem to have a trend for using single words and almost no description. That does little to help forum members know anything about your thread and almost nothing to help other members that might have similar issues. Using a bit more descriptive title will help others help you
