Speeding it up

A HDD defrag will help speed things up.

take off norton speed disk and docotor! they just slow things down even more. what do you have running in the background?

in safe mode, it's fast. It takes it a pretty short time to boot. I defragged the drive with no improvement. No P2P proggies. I have win 98se running on my PC with about the same apps as her system. The CPU is the same and so is the RAM. I will have to check out the DMA settings though.
