    Angry Case ID Needed.

This case is just about impossible!!!!

I need a case ID. I have pic of the front and rear. The one side panel removes easy enough provide you take the front panel off. The other side panel does not remove it is "screwed" in with those weird things, looks like a regular screw but the hole is very round and its not a star shape.

I am unable to figure out how to mount the CD Rom and Floppy in this stupid case.

I did have some pics fo the mounts but now my cam is not working. :sigh:

Considerin gall the fans it has seems like a decent case but a case that does not come apart easy or things to mount inside easy is not an EASY case! argggg.

    Anyways here is first pic,

    Front View.

    Rear View,

Will see if i can get the cam to work but i doubt it cuz it don't like 2k.

Edit: this is what i get for wanting to do a trade and didn't care what the case was as long as it was an ATX and had min of 300w psu.

I miss my linux box and i want it up and rolling again. faster mind you. was the whole reason for doing this.

There is no name on the case, nothing. just a couple of stamps with a Big Circle and inside the circle it says.
    Code:
         HH
    _________
    2001.07.07
    _________
    QOF34
this is all i can glean, i have searched for hours on the net trying to id this sucker.

The bay dosen't have any little tabs to hold up a drive? I think all of mine have thus far, but I could be wrong.
I suppose you could just drill out the rivet head and remove the side cover that way. Then you can just use a small self driling/taping screw to hold it back on securly. I have done that with many PC case frames that I have had to tweak. Good Luck.

Yeah that looks alot like it!!! them weird tab thingys.

edit: ya and no screw holes in the sides either or slider screw holes either where you would mount the cd. and if you put in the cd there is a little give side by side, doesn't fit totally snug as if it needs some sort of mounting brackets that attach tot he tabs or something.

ywp.. enlight makes cases that work like that.. they have slide brackets that attach to the drive u r going to mount.. and then u just slide the drive in and u r done.. no more attaching.. its made to get the drives in and out easy..

that is if that is what yours is =) I'm supprised u never recieved extra ones.. one of my cases can use them.. but it is optional on that case.. some cases like ones enlight makes it isn't a option.. u have to use the slide brackets

well i got one set of brakets, that would work for the CD rom just haven't figured out how they mount yet.

but don't have any for the floppy.

So if you just slide it in, isn't that gonna make it slide from front to back?

well dunno. i'll post some more pics later of the exact and hope to keep calm before blowing what cash i got left.

I gotta make this work somehow, just pisses me off you can't take the one side off easy then it would be easy to fix it, but can't do that.

    Ugh.

Edit: can't take the one side off period, cuz it wraps around the bottom side of the case about a 1/4 of an inch with them weird punchholes screws. they really ain't screws, caus the backplate of the motherborad is sealed to the side of the case so there is no way to pull the two apart. they are also sealed in with those weird things.

This hole case is a dispointment, that is my fault too. oh well live and learn eh?

well its missing something but not sure if its what in that picture. I can't answer that, it needs something to mount it, i have two brakets that is in a square u shape, one side being longer than the other. and i found the holes to mathc up with the CD Rom from both sides and also from the bootom side of the CD Rom, but not sure how they are suppose to go in the case cuz its not a tight fit, there is still slack in the fitting.

I need post more pics to really give you an idea. will post a ton hopefully tonight.

Edit: ugh i quoted the wrong thing. that was to answer you Xeroid.

here is what the inside of the bay side looks like, this is a shot of one side only they both look the same, with lighting only could get the one side to show up bright.
