JUST N'vidia?

I just got an ECS K7SEM mobo, and in the manual, it said that the external 4X AGP port only supports N'Vidia chips. Is this true? I may be completely ignorant, but I have never heard of such a thing before, so therefore I didn't think to check it when I got the mobo.

No, I don't think that's true. There are a ton of those ECS boards floating around. Maybe it meant to say that it supports the nVidia chips well?

in the manual they tested and varified it working with certain graphics cards, as well as another section of the manual varifying the board to work with certain brands of memory.

Agreed, they know it will work with some, they assume it will work with most.

Wow.

I just e-mailed the tech-support place of ECS, and they responded in about an hour, and said that yes, ONLY an nvidia chip will work w/AGP, but any will work w/PCI.

Weird huh?

Does this mean the amout of time it would take the HD "Comparison" system to do the same work?
