Why won't it delete? What's happens when you try? Does it say the file is currently being used by Windows and that's why it won't let you delete it?
If so, then you can always boot to DOS (if Win98) and delete from there. Or maybe use a boot disk to boot without going into Windows.
Or even easier...don't worry about DOS. All you gotta do is "kill" the process that the file is running then you'll be able to delete it. How do you kill the process, you ask? I use this handy little gizmo: Process Viewer. It says it works for all versions of Windows (I only know it works for me in Win98). |

my trial download of Seventh Knight Security software, Workstation has expired. each time i boot up a large ad from Seventh Knight fills the screen. the delete button (x) is disabled. there is a folder - "wrkstn" - and a file - "uninstall.exe" - that works with the ad. the "uninstall.exe" file had a padlock icon. trying to delete either of them gave a message that says - "access denied, file may be in use". i downloaded - "process viewer" - software and killed "uninstall.exe" and then deleted it in dos. i could not delete i t in dos without killing it first with process viewer. i cannot kill the wrkstn folder because it does not appear in the process viewer list so i cannot kill it. just deleting it at dos won't do the job. it apprars in a path in process viewer as follows; |

If ya got a jpeg from kazaa, it's prolly like 400charachters in the filename, right?
Go to the kazaa directory "my computer>C>Program Files>Kazaa/kazaalite>
make a new folder
move everything from the shared folder into the new folder.
change the name of My Shared Folder to trash, and rename the new folder My Shared Folder
move the trash folder to C:/
Then you should be able to open the trash folder and delete the file, and then delete the folder.
Only do this after all you downloades are finished as moving the dat files will stop your downloads, even if kazaa isn't running
Good Luck
