How about having a newbie bounced to this thread after they sign in? Or as a pop-up?

Would give them an idea of how to ask for help, look for help, and show how this community works together.

they wouldn't read it!!
better is, if you're still a junior member, there's always a "tip" at the top under the user cp, register buttons
that would be good, always when you reload the page there is another tip

I still forget these resources: http://www.google.com and put your error codes in the search box.

For Linux specific searches, try: http://www.google.com/linux
For Macintosh specific searches, try http://www.google.com/mac

You're kidding? #10 about acceptable language. You mean there are people who don't know the difference? I'm not trying to be funny believe me, but it seems pathetic that our everyday language has become so littered with 'colorful?' adjectives that people have become oblivious to the fact that this is inappropriate language regardless of present company.

Hi. question about the search

Ok that Search feature you've talked about sounded like a good idea.
So I tried it to find a way to help my little problem (well not really little its a big 225 dollar problem)

but the search came back and said the info was less than minimum words and couldn't resume search.
Just HOW LONG do I have to make my searches?
