Pc lock up with no apparent cause.

Alright guys I am at a loss here, PSU, CPU MB all seem fine no memtest errors ran over night and periodically my pc will freeze up, I will hear a short static sound from the speakers and the entire system is locked up and I have to hard shut down. Any ideas?

    PSU 850 ocz
    Cpu intel 6700k
    Motherboard: Asus z170 pro
    Ram: 16gb ddr4
ssd/hdd combo 840 pro samsung 512 and WD black 2tb
    GPU evga 980 TI sc.
    Not over clocked.

I went into the reliability monitor report and all it says is that Windows as not shut down properly. I checked the event logs and there was only 1 error in the past hour and it says The previous system shutdown at 10:40:13 AM on ‎10/‎27/‎2016 was unexpected.

I see nothing as to why this is happening randomly.

I have run sfc /scannow and error checking on both hard drives and checked the health on both. They are in great health and no errors found.

If it helps any I only notice it while playing a certain MMO. To which I have reinstalled and tested with same results.

No, it never did blue screen on me just did a hard lock up like someone hitting the pause button on a movie. It has only locked up 1 time since removing the AI3 suite.

Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology\IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe

It has locked up 2x tonight, and this is the only thing I can find in the reliability report and the event viewer.\

I have disabled the service from auto starting now.
