OK, Rather than Dual Booting a a Box with WIN and LINUX (I am leaning my newbie self toward Mandrake 9.0) , and why not take my GF's Sony store-bought with the Win ME instead as a start. ( I dont wan't to mess with it by Dual-booting it with Linux on a second Hard Drive.)
Now put a PCI Video card in addition to the embedded 32 MbAGP 2x Shared Memory Architecture (SMA) for dual-monitor support in Windows own dual vision utilty.(No AGP slot.) So it's a Dual-video Sony WinME.
Now do same but with a Dual-transmitter dual VGA AGP card on a Linux Box with it's own Vid-card SW utility, say nVision or ATI Hydravision. Or use some out-of -date AGP and PCI Vid Cards I have.
Here is the tough part>>>
How the heck do I use a KVM Switch to set this up? Would a 4X rather than 2X KVM Switch help here ?
I want to dual-vision the WIN ME and also the Linux (Mandrake 9.0 ?)box. And save Desk-top space !
ThanX,
DOOG
P.S. I posted a related Question on how to dual vision under LINUX in the Apps and OS Forum. Yeah, I'm taking on a lot here for a newbie , but need to save space.
