Monitor problem

ok this question isn't for me but I have a friend that has a...dare I say it...a Packard Bell. He is a retired gentlemen and tells me that every once in a while a screen pops up that says "override" on the screen...any help would be appreciated...thanks again

this does not appear to be a monitor problem.

pls provide more info, ie. system type, os, in which application the error appears, etc.

I believe he's running Win98 and it just happens when the computer is on not at any particular time...might go several days and not happen. And thats all the box says is "override"
