Casio EX-S1 Digital Camera causing BLUE SCREEN on WIN XP

I have just picked up a new Casio EX-S1 Dig Camera but when I try to install the software and then plug in the camera and switch it on it causes a blue screen error and shuts down the machine.

I read on the Casio website about the USB drivers so I didn't install the drivers that came with the camera.

I have only installed the phote extraction software but it still does it.

Any ideas or directions to websites of relevance would be appreciated.
