Ok, I just moved from Mandrake 8.2 to 9.0. I have a problem, and I anticipated it because I had the same problem in 8.2. The problem is an invisible mouse. It's there, sure enough...but I have to guess where it is and move it around until the icon I want to click highlights. In 8.2, it was a fairly simple fix. Go to /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and un-comment a line (I -think- in the video card section) that said something along the lines of 'Option "sw_mouse"' so that the mouse would not be displayed with hardware. That fixed it, no problemo. Unfortunately, none of the X config files in Mandrake 9 seem to have this line present, so I can't uncomment them, of course. I did try simply typing them in with the other options in the video card section, but that did not solve the problem. Does anybody have any idea how I could fix this problem?
Mandrake 9.0, Dell Inspiron 2650 notebook computer, using a standard 'Logitech' brand USB mouse. The problem -does- still occur if I try to just use the touchpad on the notebook, as well.
