running a .bat in win98... how do I?

does the called program actually get done running? I know if the program has not finished running, the dos prompt won't close itself.

It doesn't under win98.
'exit' will finish the window but not close it.

But as Crummy said, under the Properties->Program of the bat file there is an option called 'Close on finish' which, if you tick it, will close the window.
