i've had very mixed results burning cd-to-cd even on fast hardware that should normally support it. i would get random errors during the burn.
nowadays, i either create an ISO and burn it from that or have it create a dump file to the hd before mastering the cd. |

I agree with PJ.. makea ISO first.. then burn form your hardrive..
but if u still have problem.. try DiscJuggler.. that program will burn anything.. haven't found anythign that can stand up to it yet..

usually black cd-r's are a problem nowadays only because of the darkness on the bottom the laser sometimes can't read it.. not always though... you can try also cd-to-cd using only the cd burner... put the source disk in the cd burner and let the program burn it to a image.. it will ask for the blank disk afterwards... the reason this somethings works is because cd-roms and dvd-roms tend to not be able to "block" the copyright on the cd not always true... but worth a shot. |

You can put a check where it says "copy to hd first" or you can use the file menu "make CD image" command.
Adaptec (Easy CD Creator I'm assuming) can do .iso format as well as it's own proprietary .cif format.

CloneCD will produce a closer match to the original.

I've used clonecd.. nero.. easy cd.. cdrwin and allot of others.. clone cd will get most cd protection.. esp if u get a good front end for it.. but it can't get them all. I've ran into cd it couldn't get.. that is y I suggested discjuggler if nothing else works.. |
