Dual Booting Question

Hey, I have a HD partitioned into 4 parts, the first is Windows, 2nd is Boot for linux, then memory for linux, then the partition to run linux off of. Now, my question is this. I have lilo for booting, if I re-install windows, will it override my lilo booting? And if so, how do I fix it back?

yes, i believe it does overwrite your mbr. i use boot magic to dual boot windows and linux. i set lilo to load on the first partition not on the mbr.

Yep, Windows will 'trompt all over' other areas of your drive.

I'll leave the "restoring a Lilo" to the Linux whizzes.

But I did find a 'free' partition management utility recently.
Hang on a sec, i'll find it for you.....................

Well I tried but the site is down! Just great!
Was at pimpedoutcases.net

Will get back to you with the link when it comes up.

Boot with your boot disk that you made when you installed Linux. Log in as root. At the console type /sbin/lilo.
